Anna Rittgers

A native of Chester, South Carolina, Anna graduated from George Mason University School of Law in 2010, where she was a Mercatus Fellow at the Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy in Washington, DC. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University, where she double majored in Economics and Political Science.

Anna concentrates her practice in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Elder Law, and Small Business Planning. Anna is licensed to practice law in South Carolina and Virginia. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Virginia State Bar, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Military Spouses JD Network, and the Aiken County Bar Association. She serves on the Elder Law Committee and the Probate, Estates, and Trust Legislation Committee of the South Carolina Bar.

She is an active member of St. John’s Methodist Church in Aiken, and serves on St. John’s Church Council as well as Youth Council. She is the mother of four adorable children, and a proud Army wife to Dave, who retired from 22 years of active military service and now practices law alongside her in their firm.

In her free time, Anna enjoys baking, sewing, reading, music, and spending time with her family.

David Rittgers

Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) David Rittgers served 22 years as an officer in the Infantry, Special Forces, and Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps branches of the United States Army. David began his military service in 1997 as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Missouri ROTC program. After serving two years in South Korea, he assessed into the Special Forces (Green Berets). He commanded Special Forces Operational Detachment-Alpha (ODA) 344 and served three tours in Afghanistan with 2d Battalion, 3d Special Forces Group (Airborne), for which he was awarded an Army Commendation Medal with a “V” Device for valorous action and two Bronze Star Medals.

David left the service and attended the University of North Carolina School of Law. After three years as a Legal Policy Analyst at the Cato Institute, he returned to the Army as a JAG Corps officer. He served as a prosecutor, legal advisor to a Brigade Combat Team, Chief of Military Justice (district attorney equivalent), two tours as a Special Victim Prosecutor, and completed his service as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for Fort Gordon, Georgia. After retiring from the service, he served two years as an Assistant Solicitor in the Aiken County Solicitor’s Office before entering private practice with his wife, Anna, who is also an attorney.

David is licensed to practice law in South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia.

David is a member of St. John’s Methodist Church in Aiken and proud father of four children.
